Dr. Michaela Jacques

B.A., Celtic Studies, University of Toronto

M.A. and PhD, Celtic Languages and Literatures, Harvard University

Dr. Michaela Jacques is an educator, academic, and freelance writer/editor, who holds a doctorate in Celtic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University and a B.A. in Celtic Studies from the University of Toronto. She has taught undergraduate classes at both Harvard and U of T on a wide range of topics, including history, language, literature, mythology, and religion. She has also provided individual tuition to high school students in English, History, and French. In her own academic work, she specializes in medieval Welsh literature, and is the author of a book about the transmission of poetic handbooks in medieval and early modern Wales. 

 

Dr. Jacques is passionate about teaching and learning, and wants to help students develop the skills necessary to really love the literature they study. She is looking forward to teaching Academic Writing and Shakespeare and His World at Wells Academy.
